1. General Principle
DeltaBit Studio provides digital services that may involve customised planning, design, development, configuration, content preparation, research, communication, project management, and third-party services.
Because work may be performed specifically for a client, refund eligibility depends on the nature of the service, the stage of the project, work already completed, and the terms agreed in the applicable quotation, proposal, invoice, or service agreement.
2. Before Work Begins
If a client requests cancellation before substantive work has started, any refund will be considered based on the applicable project terms.
Any costs already incurred for third-party services, purchases, subscriptions, domain names, hosting, licences, or other non-recoverable expenses may be deducted from any applicable refund.
3. After Work Has Started
Once work has started, payments relating to work already completed, project preparation, reserved time, development, design, research, setup, or other services already delivered may not be refundable.
Where applicable, any remaining amount will be assessed based on the agreed project scope, work completed, outstanding commitments, and applicable third-party costs.
4. Deposits and Advance Payments
DeltaBit Studio may require an advance payment or deposit before beginning certain projects or services.
An advance payment may cover project scheduling, planning, initial work, setup, research, design, development, or third-party expenses and may therefore be non-refundable once the relevant work or commitment has begun.
Where specific deposit or payment conditions apply, they will be communicated in the relevant quotation, proposal, invoice, or agreement.
5. Cancellation by the Client
A client who wishes to cancel a project or service should contact DeltaBit Studio in writing as soon as possible.
Cancellation will be reviewed based on the work already completed, project commitments, payments made, third-party costs, and the applicable project terms.
Cancellation of a project does not automatically create an entitlement to a full refund.
6. Cancellation by DeltaBit Studio
DeltaBit Studio may suspend or terminate a project where reasonably necessary, including in circumstances involving non-payment, prolonged lack of client communication, failure to provide required information or access, misuse of services, or other material issues affecting the project.
Where DeltaBit Studio terminates a project for reasons within its control and a refundable amount is applicable, the amount will be assessed based on work completed, payments received, and non-recoverable third-party costs.
7. Third-Party Services and Purchases
Some projects may involve third-party products or services, including domain names, hosting, software licences, plugins, subscriptions, advertising platforms, payment providers, email services, or other external services.
Such services are generally governed by the respective third party's terms and refund policies. DeltaBit Studio cannot guarantee a refund for a third-party purchase where the relevant provider does not offer one.
Third-party costs that have already been incurred or committed for a project may be deducted from any applicable refund.
8. Client-Provided Information and Approvals
Clients are responsible for providing accurate information, content, credentials, access, approvals, documents, branding materials, and other items reasonably required to complete a project.
Delays caused by missing information, delayed approvals, unavailable access, or other client-side circumstances do not automatically create a right to a refund.
9. Completed or Delivered Services
Services that have been substantially completed or delivered may not be eligible for a refund merely because the client later changes their requirements, preferences, business plans, or intended use of the service.
Where revisions or modifications are included in the agreed scope, they will be handled according to the relevant project terms.
10. Refund Processing
Where a refund is approved, DeltaBit Studio will generally process the applicable amount using the original payment method where reasonably practical.
The time required for the refunded amount to appear in the client's account may depend on the payment provider, bank, card issuer, or other financial institution.
11. Non-Payment and Outstanding Amounts
Where a client has outstanding invoices or other amounts due, DeltaBit Studio may suspend work or withhold further delivery until the outstanding amount is resolved, subject to the applicable project agreement and law.
A cancellation request does not automatically remove amounts already due for work completed or services already provided.
12. Disputes and Refund Requests
If you believe a refund or cancellation has not been handled correctly, please contact DeltaBit Studio promptly with the relevant project, quotation, invoice, or payment details.
We will review the request based on the applicable project terms, the services provided, work completed, and relevant circumstances.
13. Project-Specific Terms
A quotation, proposal, statement of work, invoice, service agreement, or other written arrangement may contain project-specific cancellation, payment, revision, or refund terms.
Where specific written terms have been agreed for a project, those terms will apply to that project to the extent permitted by applicable law.
14. Changes to This Policy
DeltaBit Studio may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, business practices, payment arrangements, or applicable requirements.
